Illuminate Dataport Automated Installation

Adding a new SSL Certificate

The first step to installing your dataport via the Illuminate system is to add a valid SSL certificate. As show in the walkthrough above, Illuminate makes this easy to do with the certificate manager found in the connections module. Once you have a certificate in your system, you can then proceed to the installation of the dataport itself.

Installing a Dataport through Illuminate

Once you have a valid SSL certificate,  you can setup your dataport from the connections module. Simply enter in the configuration for your dataport as show above and select the SSL certificate you added in the previous walkthrough. Once you have selected to publish your dataport, Illuminate will install the dataport on your system while showing you where it is in the process.

Adding a Database Connection

Once you have installed your dataport, the connection menu will update to show you the status of your dataport. At this time, you can add in your database connection following the walkthrough above. It is important to note, however, that since Illuminate only saves the details up until the description within the system itself and leaves the rest installed in your dataport for increased security, you can not edit or delete this database connection from within the system once it has been set up. If you wish to alter the connection you will need to delete it from within the dataport and the recreate it in illuminate.
